Kix's Story

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes, dog savvy cats
Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy children
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Working on it

Kix is a happy, fun-loving boy with a zest for life that his three legs do absolutely nothing to slow down. He is a medium energy pup who loves to streak across an open yard, go on adventures with his people, and then crash on the couch with a good chew toy. He is looking for a family ready to give him lots of love and take him along for the ride.

Kix loves other dogs and runs right over to say hello. He does best with dogs who can hold their own and help him learn to read social cues, so a home with a confident canine sibling would be a great fit. He gets along well with dog-savvy cats who will set boundaries with him, as he is still learning to pick up on feline cues. He has spent time with young children and would do best with dog-savvy kids.

Kix is a smart, curious boy who loves exploring and going to work with his foster mom. He benefits from a structured and consistent daily routine, which helps him do his best at home. He is working on crate training and does great overnight, though he may whine a bit when crated during the day and will continue to improve with time and consistency. He is also working on his potty training and thrives on a regular schedule. He is learning his leash manners and improving with more practice.

This three-legged wonder has the biggest heart and the most joyful spirit. Could Kix be the adventure buddy you have been looking for?

Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.
