Kiwi

Kiwi … Wow. This sweet girl is highly intelligent. When she wants something, she trains you to understand what she is trying to convey. When she needs to use the bathroom during the day, she stands by the door and whines. If it is in the middle of the night, she licks your face and runs to the kitchen. Otherwise, her last potty break for the night can be at 9-10pm and she is good until 8am the next day. She eats her breakfast and gladly hops back into bed. What a life! If it’s past her mealtimes or you’re late feeding her, she scoots around her bowl, looks at you and scoots it around some more if you don’t get the hint that she is hungry :) Kiwi has ‘selective’ recall. She comes right away if her favorite person calls for her, but if you are not on the top of her favorite person list, she merely stops and looks at you when you call for her. Kiwi is a huge cuddler. She loves to lie on the couch or bed next to you and soak in all the warmth and comfort of your cuddles :)<br/><br/> Kiwi is 3 years old, 45lb Catahoula mix. She is looking for a quiet family or a home with older children she can hang out with. Sleep-ins, cuddles on the couch and neighborhood walks are her favorite pastimes. Kiwi is relatively low maintenance. She makes a great housemate for someone looking for a companion although she is not a good candidate for apartment living. Kiwi is an alarm barker.
