Kiwi's Story

Our girl Kiwi is ready for her forever home! Kiwi is a fun-loving active 10 month old Husky mix puppy. Her favorite activities are romping with her foster buddies or playing in the yard with any toy (laser pointers are approved).

Kiwi loves attention and sometimes has a short attention span, as she finds everything exciting and fun. She is very much a puppy who enjoys having a job to do. Kiwi is confident and curious. In new environments she can be nervous, but she is eager to learn and explore. She is currently working on furthering her basic training commands, but she is very food motivated. She is kennel trained and is able to hold her bladder for approximately 6 hours. Kiwi does well on a leash, but is still learning on how to control her explorative tendencies.

Kiwi would do best in an active household with kids age 15 and older, who understand boundaries and have had previous dog experience. Kiwi did have an incident with her first home when she was only 6 months old and her first owner had some stitches from her puppy bite. Kiwi is dog friendly and would love another active playful furry friend in the house! She is respectful of cats, but slow supervised introductions over time are required. A secured yard (higher than 4 feet) is a must for her, as she enjoys her freedom when sniffing around the yard.

Kiwi cannot wait to be part of your life and family. She will constantly bring you joy and laughter every day. Apply here to meet with your current pets! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/BPAZ/Dog

Last Chance Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation's Adoption Policy
We like using a "Foster to Adopt" system, meaning that homes will do a trial run for 2-4 weeks to ensure a good fit before signing any officially adoption paperwork. This helps both your home and our dog take off the pressure and get to know each other! Remember the Rules of 3 (days, weeks, months). The dogs safety is our number one priority and we do dog training and first introductions to assist the transition. All applications must speak with both a volunteer team member and our rescue director to make sure all information is gathered and questions answered. We have a pre-screening foster application as well as an official adoption contract.
