Kissy's Story

Meet Kissy, a 10-month-old, 6-pound long-haired Chihuahua (possibly Dachshund mix) with a big personality packed into the tiniest little body.

Kissy is spunky, playful, and full of sass in the best way. She’s a brave little girl who loves to play with both big and small dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to keep her company. When she’s not playing, she’s all about the cuddles — affectionate, loving, and happiest curled up with her people.

Kissy came to us with no prior training, so she is still very much a puppy and learning everything for the first time. She will need a committed adopter who is ready to invest in her success through consistent training, socialization, and daily exercise. She is not yet fully house or crate trained but is already making progress.

At her current size, we expect she will be around 8-10 pounds full grown.

Her ideal home will have a yard, another playful dog, and a family with the time and patience to help her grow into the confident, well-rounded companion she’s meant to be. Puppies her age should not be left alone for long periods and do best with structure and consistency.

Kissy is equal parts fun and snuggly, and she’s ready to bring a whole lot of personality and love into the right home.

[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application forwarding requests or any specific inquiries, you can contact us at adopt@underdogca.com. Underdog Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for reading about our awesome dogs. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area. The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent. **Reminder we are all volunteers working hard to save these dogs, some dogs may receive 20+ application to all be reviewed. We do our best to respond to all apps as we can. Please be patient and feel free to send us a follow up email if needed. http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/ Neutered, Micro chipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption. The adoption fees vary by animal and are considered a non refundable donation Visit us at www.underdogca.com or follow us on IG@underdoganimalrescueca https://www.facebook.com/underdogCA A little more about us: Underdog Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue serving the Bay Area of Northern California. Since our start in 2014, we have built an outstanding team and have grown into a strong network of volunteers dedicated to saving the Underdogs in our shelters and community. We have dedicated our efforts to giving a second chance to the dogs that are most in need (medically or behaviorally) and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. As a foster based rescue, Underdog places dogs in temporary foster homes where they can decompress and get the love and affection that they need. Dogs are also vaccinated, spayed/neutered and receive any other medical treatment needed before finding their forever home. Rescue is undoubtedly hard and trying work but it is entirely worth it to see the life of a dog saved. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help; the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, or just someone to believe in them again. This is why we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommy’s and daddy’s that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate. Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. It’s only because of our outstanding community, foster families and volunteers that we are able to continue our efforts.
