Kismet's Story
Meet Kismet The Pup Who Found Her Own Way Home

Sometimes, fate has a funny way of working things out. Kismet was originally on her way to New Jersey from a kill shelter in Texas, but when we met the transport driver to pick up our dogs, we unknowingly brought her back to Sunny Bear Rescue instead. Her brother, Chief, went on to NJ, and since they look so much alike, we were fooled for the night! It wasnt until the next morning, when we got a message asking us to check the sex, that we realized the mix-up.

But here at Sunny Bear Rescue, we believe everything happens for a reason. So, we decided to give her a new nameKismet, meaning fatebecause maybe she was meant to find her way here. And maybe Chief was meant to go to NJ, too.

Kismet is a 2-month-old Labrador Retriever/Pointer mix with a quiet, shy, but lovable personality. Shes a little unsure of the world right now, but we know with time, patience, and love, she will grow into a confident and happy pup. She is currently recovering from some minor skin dryness (she got an oatmeal bath) and adjusting to her new surroundings.

Kismets Details:
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Pointer mix (best guess)
Birthday: 12-15-2024 (estimated)
Gender: Female
Size: Medium (currently 17 lbs, estimated 45-50 lbs full-grown)
Energy Level: Low/medium for now, but likely to grow as she opens up
Shots UTD: Yes
Altered: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Should be
Good with Kids: Yes
Ok in Car: Yes
House Trained: No (still learning)
Status: In foster at Sunny Bear Rescue

Kismet may have taken a different path than planned, but she is right where she belongssafe, loved, and waiting for her forever family.
