Kirby in NE's Story
The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Kirby. I am 2 years old and weigh 20 pounds. I need a new home because I was released from a breeder. I am being fostered in Lincoln, NE.

I’m getting along well with the cat and all the dogs in the house. Well, except the old lady dog. My foster mom said to never mind her, she’s just cranky. I just stay away from her. They do have one dog that I follow around so I would like to have a brother or sister in my new home to help me to continue gaining confidence.

I HATE the metal crate. I never want to go back in there again! I let my foster mom and dad know it, too. On a positive note, they say I’m doing great on my house training. Having the dog door really helps.

I’m very timid. Also, if you get to adopt me, please ask my foster mom if I can have the dog bed I’ve been sleeping on. It’s WAY super comfy!

Medical: mild heart murmur. Did great under anesthesia. X-rays show no change in heart size. Nor does he have any symptoms of heart disease.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Yes - Success! (With a dog door)
Leash-trained? Working on it
Rides well in car? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
