Kirby was found on a local, busy inner-city highway after witnesses feared he’d been thrown from a car. Our friends at the shelter called us right away, knowing he was in serious need — and we rushed to his side.<br/><br/>At the vet, x-rays confirmed what we feared: multiple fractures, including a pelvic fracture that needs time and rest to heal. In a couple months, he may need an amputation (because of his femur fracture) to live pain-free. But you’d never guess it from his personality — he’s full of love, kisses, and tail wags, proving that nothing can break his spirit. <br/><br/>Kirby is looking for a home to give him a safe, quiet home to heal. He’s sweet, spunky, and eager to learn — he just needs someone to show him what love really feels like.
