Kiran is a gorgeous 10 month old pit bull that weighs about 50lbs and is still growing. This amazing pup has suffered through some hard times, but healed in a loving foster home. Kiran is such a wonderful boy and charms everyone he meets. This perfect pup is quirky, fun, intelligent, loving and trainable. He is high activity, perfectly house trained, loves all over dogs and adores children! Read on to learn more about Kiran.

Kiran had a very sad beginning, found as a stray back in September of 2020 in Houston, Texas. Kiran was standing in a grocery store parking lot searching for trash to eat. He was extremely emaciated, covered in open bloody sores and caked in dried urine and feces after recently being dumped by his owner, likely after being locked in a kennel his entire life. From the beginning, there was something special about this gentle dog. He allowed his rescuer to scoop him up and tend to his wounds immediately. Although he was frightened, Kiran had the most amazing temperament. He was extremely sweet, docile and just wanted to be loved, despite what humans had put him through.

Kiran grew into the most loving dog when he joined his foster family. This dog is a total love bug. Kiran loves everyone that he meets, but can be a little shy at first. He gains confidence daily and is extremely dog friendly. Kiran absolutely adores children, and loves to snuggle. After this boy gets in his daily exercise, he is a complete snuggle bug, who enjoys spending his time in your lap like a giant baby. Kiran loves to sleep in bed with you and is the best snuggler, who will lay his head on your chest. It's heartwarming and also heartbreaking to think that a dog who loves people this much was ever abandoned on the streets in such poor condition.

Training wise, Kiran is a dream dog. He is kennel trained, leash trained and absolutely perfect in the car. He can be a little wild at times in normal puppy fashion, but is an extremely smart boy who loves to please. He would thrive in a home with another confident, friendly dog. Kiran is great with both males and females. He is also respectful, and even submissive, to kitties in the home. Outdoors, he will chase anything, cats and horses included, but just because he wants to play, play, play! Kiran would adore hanging out at dog parks, is wonderful with doggy introductions and is a fun, bouncy boy who enjoys adventures. Kiran is very athetlic and currently enjoys 10 mile hikes and trail runs with his foster mom. He requires a high activity home that can give him adequate exercise he needs to balance with his snuggle buddy home life.
