KIRA's Story

Kira came to the shelter as an injured stray, limping on one of her legs. With a little TLC and time to heal, she’s made a full recovery - and now she’s walking, running, and ready to find her forever family! From the moment you meet her, Kira’s gentle spirit shines through. She greets you by calmly sitting at her kennel door, making it easy to leash her up. Out on walks, she’s a dream: no pulling on the leash, just happy to stroll by your side. She has a low to medium energy level so she's mostly calm and easygoing but lights up when squeaky toys are involved! She’ll happily entertain herself with them, but she’s polite about letting you take them back when playtime is over. Kira enjoys attention, loves being pet, and takes treats gently from your hand. She already knows how to sit on command too!
