Hello- my name is Kira. My siblings and I were rescued with our mama by a Good Samaritan. She reached out to Guardians of Florida for help and we came to Fort Myers. We have been in foster care and are doing great! We are estimated at 10 weeks old as of mid February. We seem to be bully mixed breeds- sometimes we get called chunky monkeys! LOL. We get along great with other dogs. Our foster mama has started potty training us, but we will still need some more help. My $450 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter at one of my rescue's vets in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, Orlando or Miami when I'm closer to 6 months old. 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
