Kip's Story

How this pet arrived:Kip was brought in by a community member on August 16, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Kip, a handsome boy with a bright spirit who is ready to show you just how wonderful he is! Kip walks wonderfully on a leash, loves running around the yard chasing after his favorite toys, and is willing to make friends if you offer him some delicious treats. His personality is blossoming every day, and he has recently been leaning in and allowing gentle petting as he learns to trust. Because new faces can make him feel a bit fearful at first, Kip is looking for a calm, quiet home with a patient, understanding family who will give him the time and space to settle in at his own pace. To ensure it is the perfect fit for everyone, any children in the home must be 10 years or older and present for his meet-and-greet. With a little patience, plenty of goodies, and an open heart, you will quickly find that Kip is an absolute keeper! At SDHS:Kip has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for adoption! Shy/Fearful Dog: Kip requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 49.5lbs Age: 6yrs 1mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
