Kingston (Zeus)

Why Choose Me?
Kingston, who was called Zeus in his former home, is a great buddy. I remember him from before because he was such a sweet, handsome dog. He still is, but he's thinner now and needs to put on some weight. Zeus loves being with people and likes to please. He knows how to sit and lie down for treats and comes when he's called. He was content to hang out in the shade with me enjoying pets and just being with a friend. His former owner said Zeus lived as an indoor dog, rides well in a car, and is good with other dogs and children. He really is a super buddy, and I hope Zeus finds a forever home and new family to love soon.

Kingston's Doggy-Day-Out: This guy, Kingston. This guy should be at the top of someone's list. I've recently spent a couple of afternoons with Kingston at Athens-Clarke County Animal Services and found him to be a real buddy. We hung out together at the shelter, walked the nature trail, and made a trip to the Eastside Lowe's.

Kingston was great the whole time we were together. He displayed great leash manners on the nature trail and at Lowe's. He was a very good passenger in the car. He met everyone we encountered appropriately and was, overall, very well behaved.

If you're looking for a great dog, who also happens to be very handsome, take a good look at Kingston. He's a volunteer and staff favorite that's ready for a new home.
* * *
Update: Kingston is back at the shelter because he wasn't a good match for the older dog in the home. He likes other dogs but would probably do better with ones who fit his energy and playstyle. His former owner said Kingston lived as an indoor dog and is house trained and crate trained. I had fun with Kingston today. He minds well and likes to please for treats. He also enjoys all the pets and attention you can give him.
* * *
Kingston's good looks caught my eye right away. He's a handsome dog with a gorgeous blue coat and sweet face. He's also happy, friendly, and playful. He sat for treats, chased a few toys, and enjoyed being outside with a friend. When other dogs barked at him as we passed the kennels, he walked on by wagging his tail glad to have some time in an interaction pen.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
