Kingston's Story
Meet Kingston

Kingston is a 5-year-old, 65-pound Lab/Pit mix with a big body and an even bigger heart. This handsome black-coated guy has a short, low-maintenance coat and a laid-back grooming routine to match his easygoing personality.

Kingston’s story is one of love and resilience. He was originally adopted from the local shelter and enjoyed a caring home, but when his owner faced medical challenges and could no longer care for him, Kingston was returned—through absolutely no fault of his own. Now, he’s ready for his next chapter with a forever family.

Described best as a gentle giant, Kingston loves meeting new people and quickly wins hearts with his sweet soul. He enjoys walks, car rides, and playtime with his dog friends, but he’s just as happy cuddling on the couch—often acting like a dog-sized weighted blanket. Fair warning: Kingston snores and breathes a little loud sometimes, which just adds to his charm!

Kingston knows basic commands like sit and stay, is crate trained, leash trained, and mostly potty trained with only rare accidents. He responds well to verbal correction (though he may sulk a bit afterward). He loves balls, tug-of-war, and especially meal time.

He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but will need a fully fenced yard, as he would happily take off running if given the chance. His ideal home would be somewhat active, with older children who understand larger dogs.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who’s equal parts playful and cuddly, Kingston might just be your perfect match.

He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

His adoption fee is $150.

Please follow the link below for his adoption application.
