(DOB 3/21/17) WEIGHT: 60 lbs

MY STORY: Kingston is a beautiful silver Lab with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s just beginning to shine. Released from an Amish breeding operation, he’s stepping into a whole new world — one where compassion and care take center stage. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a dog who truly deserves it, Kingston is ready — and waiting — to love you back.

Kingston is incredibly sweet and friendly. He adores people and craves attention, greeting everyone with a gentle tail wag and hopeful eyes. Despite his rough past, his trust in humans is unwavering. When Kingston arrived, he had cuts and scrapes on his mouth, legs, and one ear. We're not sure what caused them, but what we do know is that he's healing well — both physically and emotionally. Through it all, he’s remained loving, patient, and eager to connect.

FOSTER UPDATE: Kingston has brought lots of love and happiness to his foster home. He is laid back, easy going and very sweet. He yearns for love, companionship and a safe place to rest. If you are looking for a loyal companion that will love you back twice as much, one that radiates joy every day and wants to share in making family memories then I think Kingston is your guy!

Kingston is a true lap dog. He enjoys snuggling on the couch, going for short walks, and napping. He likes hanging out with his canine foster pals, playing in the yard together and of course napping together. He can be an only dog but he would do best with another dog (big or small) in the house to bond with. This is the first house he's ever been in so another dog would act as a role model to acclimate to his forever home. When I first brought him home to foster, he was nervous about being in the car. Now, he runs to the car. Kingston will bark to alert you if someone comes to the door or comes home but otherwise, he is very quiet.

As far as training goes, Kingston is house-trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and has good recall. He is very loyal and aims to please. One stand out compared to other dogs is that most dogs will bond with 1 or 2 members of the family more than the other people in the house. Kingston loves everyone! He greets everyone in the family with a big smile, lots of tail wags, some kisses and ready to be petted. Even visitors - if they like dogs then Kingston likes them! Kingston does still get nervous in new crowded public situations or when larger dogs approach him, he will freeze and remove himself until he feels safe.

Kingston has a gorgeous silver/ taupe color fur that is soft as fleece and barely sheds. He is about 22" tall (ground to shoulder blades) 23" long(base of neck to base of tail), approximately 60 pounds, and FULL OF LOVE!

See more on his foster page: Lake Life Foster Friends.

Fostered in West Bend.

ADOPTION FEE: $350

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.

Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
WI License #270548.

Check out Fluffy Dog Wellness on our Home Page.
