King Moe's Story

The Big-Hearted Goof Meet King Moe!
King Moe is a 68-pound teddy bear who is looking for his royal throne (also known as your couch). If you’re looking for a dog who is "all-in" on his humans, Moe is ready to be your one-and-only best friend.

King Moe is a volunteer favorite for a reason—he’s a "Big Ol' Goof" in the very best way! Despite his size, he takes treats with the gentlest touch. He is a "lean-in" cuddler who just wants to be near his people. And if you have a tennis ball, you have a best friend for life. He is an elite fetch partner and thrives when he’s playing and engaging with you.

King Moe is so handsome and has such a joyful spirit. He’s the perfect partner for an active household that loves long walks, hiking, or backyard play sessions. Moe prefers to be the "King" of his castle. While he can be selective with other dogs, he has more than enough love to fill a home all by himself! He offers 68 pounds of pure, unfiltered loyalty and fun.

Volunteer Prospective: Doggy Day Out with King Moe
During a recent Doggy Day Out, King Moe really shined. This update comes from one of his favorite volunteers, who absolutely adores him and was thrilled to spend the day together. He rode in the car like a total pro, calmly sitting in the seat and watching the world go by. At home in the yard, he happily played fetch, burned off some energy with a few zoomies and even tested the pool by dipping in one paw before deciding it was too cold. King Moe also joined his volunteer for a run at the park. The first mile took a little focus, as he can be curious about squirrels and folks passing by, but he settled in beautifully. By miles two and three, he was calmly trotting right at their side, showing just how capable he is with a little exercise and consistency. King Moe is a strong, sweet, and intelligent dog who would thrive with regular activity. He is going to make an incredibly fun and loyal companion.
