King Kong Catahoula Leopard Dog & Beagle Mix Joliet, IL

King Kong is a 1 year old dog who is hoping to find his forever home. This energetic boy wants to play and run with people. Unfortunately when he came to Hopeful Tails, he was restricted from this since he was heartworm positive. He has completed his treatment and finally can enjoy life. When he first meets someone, he will roll on his back so you can scratch his stomach. Pick up a toy and he's ready for a game of fetch. Want to walk? King Kong will excitedly join you. His personality will have you smiling and laughing all day. King Kong wants all the love and attention though, he needs to be the only dog in a home. Additionally, we recommend a home with older (12 yrs. +) or no kids. Currently, King Kong weighs 45 lbs.

Our loving boy’s adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, microchip implant, fecal exam, and shots up to date.

All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full.

As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.

When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
