King's Story
Meet King

King is a 2-year-old German Shepherd looking for his forever home!

This goofy, loyal boy is smart, eager to please, and loves showing off all the tricks he knows. King can sit, stay, lie down, give paw, roll over, and more. He is a big baby at heart who wants to work, play, and bond deeply with his person.

King is potty trained, crate trained, and does great on walks. Like many German Shepherds, he is very loyal and can be protective of his human, but he responds well to direction and is learning when it is appropriate to protect and when it is not.

King can be reactive toward other dogs on leash, but he has shown he can be dog-friendly with proper, slow introductions. He may do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced adopter who understands decompression, structure, and slow introductions.

He is currently working through some resource guarding around food and high-value treats, so he will need a patient, experienced home committed to continuing his training and setting him up for success.

Because King is a big, strong boy who does not always know his own size, a home without small children is recommended.

King would thrive with an experienced German Shepherd or working-breed owner who can give him the structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and love he deserves. He is a wonderful dog with so much potential and so much love to give.

Kings ideal home:

German Shepherd or working-breed experience preferred
No small children
Best as the only dog or with slow, proper introductions
A structured home willing to continue training
Someone who enjoys working, playing, and bonding with their dog

If you are looking for a loyal, smart, goofy best friend and have the experience to help King continue becoming his best self, please apply to meet him.
