King's Story

Age: 7 years
Sex: Male
Energy Level: Moderate
Size: Large breed

King is a big, lovable guy with a heart to match his size. He enjoys attention and will happily lean his whole body into you for pets, his way of soaking up all the love he can get!

King has been slowly introduced to other dogs at the shelter. He can be a bit unsure at first, but if other dogs give him space and don't bother him, he settles in and does just fine. We're not yet sure how he feels about cats, so we recommend coming in to meet King and chat with staff about your home setup and how best to introduce him.

He is house-trained and very food motivated, which makes training a great bonding experience. On leash, King may pull a bit at the start of a walk, but once he's away from the shelter environment, he relaxes and walks nicely.

King would do well in a family home and is good with kids. However, because of his large size and enthusiastic affection, he may accidentally knock over very small children or babies.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick by your side, King could be your perfect match.
