King's Story

King is an 11-month-old German Shepherd mix with a big personality and lots of energy to match. He’s crate-trained and has done well with children in his previous home, as well as with other dogs—both with a sitter and at the dog park. While he hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, he’s generally social and outgoing. King loves to play, especially with hard rubber toys (soft or stuffed toys aren’t a good fit for him). He enjoys outdoor activities like fetch and does well on car rides. As a young, energetic pup, he may pull on the leash, bark at times, and has a tendency to jump when excited. He already knows some basic cues and commands, but he’s still working on potty training. Overall, King is a fun-loving, active dog who would thrive in a home ready to continue his training and give him plenty of exercise and attention. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
