Meet Kimber

Kimber is a 12 week old female Shepherd/Rottie. From her foster - "Kimber is such a smart, sweet, wonderful girl. She does great in the kennel, and no accidents in the house. She is extremely food motivated and eager to learn. She does great with cats, other dogs, goats, horses and children. She loves everyone! There are occasional men in public that she slightly shys from and she could benefit from continued, controlled outings to overcome that. Kimber would do best with an active family with a calm, canine housemate. Super smart and super sweet. She walks fantastic on the leash. We are working on basic behaviors and mouthing. Kimber did fantastic during a public outing. She wasn’t phased by any noises or machines. Although curious, she never attempted to get out of the cart and just focused on me the entire time. Her eye contact and attention was incredible along with solid sit/stays.” Get your application in early, or if you're pre-approved, reach out to schedule your meet and greet!

The puppy you are adopting is TOO YOUNG to have completed its full series of puppy vaccines. Your puppy’s immune system is still developing and until full vaccinations are complete should NOT be brought into public places, stores, parks, or around other unvacccinated animals. Germs can be picked up very easily that can be harmful to your puppy. Please schedule an appointment with your vet to complete the series of your puppies vaccinations. Use a carrier to bring your puppy to your vets office so it is not exposed to the floors or other animals while there. Vets are commonly backed up so it is important you call ASAP so your puppy stays on schedule.

Your puppy has not been spayed/neutered. Upon adoption of your unaltered puppy you have agreed to have it spayed/neutered and pay a $200 refundable deposit. At time of adoption you will be required to complete the mandatory spay and neuter contract. No exceptions. You must fully comply with the terms of the adoption and spay/neuter agreement. If you do not fully comply, we reserve our rights as you will have voided the contract, at which time we will start the process of taking our puppy back at any time for non-compliance. This is very important to us as a dog rescue, if this is at all a concern for you, please consider adopting an already altered pup/dog.

If you do not fully comply with this spay/neuter agreement, all rights and ownership of the dog by Adopter will terminate and the dog will be returned to LPR. The Adopter will pay any legal or other fees LPR incurs in the process of repossessing the dog, and $500 in damages.

Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $600, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $500, 7+ years or special needs are a minimum $400 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs.
