Kim's Story

Meet Kim!
Kim is a spayed eight year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix. This gorgeous lady is here not of her own doing; her loving and devoted owner recently passed away, leaving Kim without a soft place to land. We're hopeful somebody will scoop her right back up though, because Kim truly is such a sweetheart! She is loving and loyal, wishing for nothing more than to be by people's sides at all times.
As is sometimes common with her breed, Kim isn't always the best with other animals. She has proven that she can't live with cats, so we will not be adopting her out to a home with any felines. As for dogs, Kim has sometimes gotten along with certain ones in the past, and others not so much. Because of this, we are requiring a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings to ensure that there is a prospect of it being a decent match. So be aware, based on the interaction, we may deny that particular adoption. Ideally, we would love to see Kim go to a home where she is the star of the show, and where she doesn't have to tolerate other animals or experience any stress related to all the logistics involved in a multi-pet household. We think she would thrive the most that way! As for kids, Kim has proven to do well with them, though her exposure to wee ones has been extremely limited, which makes it too small of a sample size to definitively say how well it would go long-term. We recommend bringing any children to the shelter with you so that she can meet the whole family and test the waters before officially going home.
This precious girly is already spayed, has some training under her belt (including potty training), and is up to date on vaccinations. Now she just needs a forever home where she will be doted upon and where the humans are patient with her as she not only adjusts to life without her former person, but with the exciting yet nerve wracking blessing of a new family to call her own. If Kim strikes your fancy, please stop by to meet her and see if she's the one!
