Hi, Im Kiko. <br/><br/>Im pretty sure I was supposed to be someone elses dog a long time ago.<br/><br/>I spent far longer in the shelter than dogs usually do. The kind of long that doesnt make much sense. Every day I watched dogs get adopted or end up on the euthanasia list. Somehow, the staff never gave up on me. They kept believing there was something special about me. <br/><br/>Turns out, they were right. <br/><br/>Im the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart almost immediately. Ill also make myself at home in your bed because, respectfully, I have no interest in sleeping anywhere else. <br/><br/>Im sweet in a way thats hard to explain until you meet me. I hand out kisses like theyre free, give hugs whenever I can, and somehow manage to be both a goofy class clown and the worlds biggest cuddle bug. <br/><br/>My foster laughs every single day because of my signature gallop. When I come bouncing out of my kennel, my legs seem to have plans of their own. Its impossible not to smile watching me. <br/><br/>Speaking of kennels... Im still working on that whole crate thing. Its not exactly my favorite place. Id much rather be wherever my people are, preferably with a squeaky toy nearby and belly rubs waiting for me.<br/><br/>Life is exciting, and Im determined to experience all of it. Walks are wonderful. Chasing a ball is even better. Bringing it back, Well... I think that part is optional. Ill happily go get it, but then it becomes a team building exercise because you have to come get it too. Im really just looking out for your cardio. <br/><br/>Water... baths... rain... I havent quite decided how I feel about all that yet, but Im definitely going to investigate. <br/><br/>Now, about cats... I know everyone always asks. Im not looking to chase them. I just have questions, okay We can be curious together. Squirrels, though Im convinced theyre up to something. Weird little things <br/><br/>I absolutely adore other dogs. Theyre usually my favorite introductions, and I would love a home with a canine best friend. I play nicely, Im submissive, and having another dog helps me feel confident while Im still figuring out this whole being a family dog thing.<br/><br/>Im house trained, I ride great in the car, I know how to sit, and Im learning something new every day. Im curious about everything, determined to keep trying, and sweet enough that youll forgive the occasional puppy mistake. <br/><br/>One of my funniest habits is carrying pieces of my food somewhere else before I eat them. Apparently dining rooms are overrated. I also gently nibble my toys instead of destroying them, and when I finally settle down, youll probably find me asleep upside down with all four paws in the air. <br/><br/>My perfect home is one with people looking for a true best friend, at least one playful dog, and a family that enjoys a morning adventure followed by a cozy evening on the couch.
