Kiki's Story
Kiki is a 6.5 year-old Boxer with a bright personality, a bouncy step, and just enough mischief to keep life interesting. She’s playful, curious, and full of charm with a talent of entertaining herself. She is the kind of dog who makes you smile without even trying.
She loves toys and interactive play, and when things get quiet, Kiki is very capable of finding her own fun. If she gets bored, she’ll happily go on a little adventure to see what’s available for entertainment-to include socks, toys, a forgotten towel, nothing is truly off limits in her curious mind. It’s never about being destructive, it is just Kiki being creative and reminding you that enrichment and engagement are important parts of her world. One of her favorite quirks is her strong preference for drinking water straight from the spigot instead of a bowl. Fresh is best, according to Kiki.

Kiki and her 3 littermates came into the BARC program in less-than-ideal conditions but she is turning a new leaf, loving life and looking forward to a bright future with a new forever family. While she hasn't been around other dogs in foster care, aside from her siblings that she lived with previously, Kiki seems curious in a friendly manner of dogs she sees out and about on walks. Her experience with cats and children is limited, but she has shown no reactivity when encountering kids on walks. Kiki is crate trained, learning house manners, walks nicely on leash, and is very food motivated, making continued training both effective and fun.

Kiki would thrive in a home that enjoys play and appreciates a dog with personality. A fenced yard would be a bonus, giving her space to explore and burn off her playful energy.

If you’re looking for a loving, engaging companion with a joyful spark and a touch of harmless mischief, Kiki is your girl!

Kiki is being fostered in Jacksonville, FL.
