Kida's Story

Kida came to us with her 8 puppies, and while they depended on her for everything, it’s clear that now it’s her turn to be cared for.

She is approximately 3 years old and weighs 51.3 pounds. Her previous owner said she’s a Catahoula, but we’re not convinced. What we do know for sure is that she is a total sweetheart.

Kida has a gentle, loving personality and seems like she may have had a slightly better start in life than her puppies did. She does have scarring on her ears from fly strike, which tells us she likely spent quite a bit of time outdoors. Despite that, she absolutely adores people and just wants affection.

She walks nicely on a leash but doesn’t appear to know basic commands yet. She loves offering her paws, and we are working with her on keeping all four feet on the ground instead of jumping up to ask for attention. She is eager to please and responds well to guidance.

Kida willingly goes into her crate and settles in nicely. We have not introduced her to other dogs yet since she was not vaccinated when she arrived, but she is now current on vaccines and will be spayed before adoption.

More than anything, Kida seems like a dog who just wants to belong to someone. After raising her babies, she’s ready for a home where she can finally be the one receiving all the love.

Adoption Fee: $350
