While he's a little slow to warm up, once he does, he follows his person everywhere, sleeps curled up in bed with the other dogs, and gently nudges the back of your leg with his nose just to feel close. <br/>Kevin happily takes treats from your hand and absolutely lights up for toys, especially squeaky balls.<br/>A canine companion gives him confidence and comfort, and he thrives when he has a buddy to lean on.<br/>With just a little patience, kindness, and time, Kevin will continue to blossom. We have a careful screening process that consists of reference checks, a veterinary referral, and a home visit ensuring that our furry friends stay in their forever homes for good. Our adoption fee ranges from $400-575 which includes spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, deworming and a microchip.  Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog We are a foster based rescue and we do not have a shelter or physical location. Important Note for Adopters: While our rescue organization is based in and licensed out of Portland, Maine we are proud to serve a wider community as we have grown an have foster homes throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut. As such, we encourage potential adopters to be open to traveling up to 3 hours in each direction from Portland to meet and greet with their prospective furry family members.
