Kevin's Story

Meet Kevin

Kevin may be one of the older dogs in the group, but don't tell him that. At 10 years old and 15 pounds, this terrier is still enjoying life and is ready to find the family he's been waiting for.

Kevin was found as a stray in heartbreaking condition. His coat was so severely matted that the mats had grown between his toes, making every step uncomfortable. Thankfully, those painful days are behind him. After getting the care he desperately needed, Kevin has blossomed into the sweetest little companion.

Kevin is heartworm positive which means he is going through treatment that requires him to have a lot of rest and relaxation for the next few months which will be perfect for this sweet senior boy.

He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home and has an easygoing personality that allows him to fit right into the pack. He's happy to join the group but never feels the need to be the center of attention. Kevin is simply content to be safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people who love him.

Cats are not a good fit for Kevin, so he'll be happiest in a home without feline friends. He'd do well in a home with children who are over the age of 5 who are respectful of his quiet nature and can give him both patience and love.

Kevin has adjusted beautifully to life indoors. After settling in, he's kept his sleeping area clean overnight and has shown excellent house manners. We expect him to transition easily into a home with a consistent routine. He's a smart, well-mannered little guy who seems genuinely grateful for every kindness shown to him.

Senior dogs have a special way of loving, and Kevin is no exception. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, a calm spirit, and so much love left to give, Kevin may be the perfect addition to your family.

Kevin's adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Apply to meet Kevin today!

The Asher House's Adoption Policy
The Asher House currently focuses on adoptions within Oregon, Washington, and Idaho so that we can provide post-adoption support to our adopters and animals. If you live in one of these three states and see a dog you’re interested in, please complete our adoption application. As part of our adoption process, we ask for two references and conduct a video home check. If we believe one of our animals could be a good match for you, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet for everyone in your household, including your current dog(s). This gives everyone an opportunity to meet and helps us determine together whether the adoption is the right fit. Our goal is always to create safe, loving, and successful lifelong matches for our animals and their adopters. All of our adoptable animals are on our website www.theasherhouse.com.
