Kenzo's Story
Foster says: He has sincerely blossomed since leaving the shelter, and we've gotten a really good read on his personality and habits. Overall, he is an incredibly affectionate, fully housetrained boy who absolutely thrives when he has another dog around. He is an ideal match for a family looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who is trustworthy with house-roaming privileges during the workday. Here is a breakdown of his behaviors and training progress:

Behavior
General Temperament- He is exceptionally loving, actively seeking out affection, and absolutely "refuses to not be loved."
Dog Socialization- Does amazing with new dog introductions. He bonds closely with other dogs in the home and prefers to be right beside them.
Human Interaction- Highly human-focused "velcro dog". He follows his humans around during yard work and loves to lay beside or directly on top of you during relaxing time.
Sharing- Excellent. He does great with sharing his toys and shows no observed guarding behaviors.

Training
House Training- 100% housetrained. He has had zero accidents when left home during standard 8-hour workdays.
Crate & Roaming- He used a kennel for his first week. Since then, he has been trusted with full house-roaming privileges.
Mastered Commands- Sit, paw, lay, wait, and eat.
Current Goal- Working on impulse control at the front door; he has an overly excited habit of jumping on his humans when they return home from work.
Leash- Loves to walk and walks very well on a leash. Watch out for: He has a prey drive for small animals; the handler must hold steady if he spots a squirrel or fox.
Playtime- Highly engaged. His absolute favorite activities are chasing balls and playing with rope toys.

Ask to see me!

Arrived as a stray on May 18, 2026.
