Kenzie's Story
LHS Resident Since: 12/31/10

Adoption Price: $85.00 (Includes refundable spay deposit)

Estimated Adult Weight: 23 pounds

Kenzie was brought to LHS as a stray. She was in poor condition when she arrived but she's doing much better now and she's ready for her new forever home! She gets along well with other dogs and children but we're not sure she interacts with cats, although we can test her with them upon request. Kenzie's new owner will be required to sign a legally-binding contract to have her spayed within 30 days of adoption (as mandated by the State of Michigan, Act 287). STATE LAW REQUIRES ALL PETS ADOPTED FROM ANIMAL SHELTERS TO BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. Non-compliance is a misdemeanor offense and you may be forced to relinquish your pet.

Kenzie is up-to-date her distemper and kennel cough vaccines. Her distemper vaccine needs to be boostered every three to four weeks until she is over four months of age to ensure immunity. She has been given monthly heartworm prevention while under our care. Her new owner will be responsible for continuing her monthly heartworm prevention and making sure her vaccines and heartworm test are updated by a veterinarian every year.

For our adoption policy and information about how to adopt a pet, please visit our web site (www.lenhumanesoc.org). Although we try to update our pets featured on Petfinder as often as possible, please understand that some animals listed may have already found loving homes.

Our organization offers 24PetWatch microchips, which include free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. For more information visit www.24petwatch.com or call 1-866-597-2424.

This pet also comes with 30 days of pre-paid pet health insurance.
