The Lenawee Humane Society (LHS) is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to caring for unwanted animals and providing them with preventative medical treatment, food, and shelter until we can find them a new home. Founded in 1921, the Lenawee Humane Society is incorporated by the State of Michigan but receives no government support. LHS is supported solely by adoption fees, donations, and membership dues.
