Meet Kentucky - aka "Nugget" <br/><br/>Kentucky (Ken, Kenny, Nugget... he answers to all the cute names!) is an 8-month-old Lab Retriever / Cattle Dog / German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his puppy-dog eyes.<br/><br/>Being fostered in Greenleaf, WI<br/><br/>This sweet boy has been in foster care with us in Greenleaf, WI, and he has completely stolen our hearts. Nugget is the ultimate cuddle bug - he lives for kisses, snuggles, and being close to his people. He truly just wants to be your best friend.<br/><br/>He's the perfect mix of playful and affectionate:<br/> Loves to run and play with other dogs<br/> Has plenty of puppy energy... followed by the best naps <br/> Will happily come back for cuddles after playtime<br/><br/>Nugget is also doing amazing with his manners:<br/> Walks on a leash like a pro<br/> Rides great in the car <br/> Sits politely and takes treats gently<br/><br/>He can be a tiny bit nervous at first, but it doesn't take long at all for his happy, social personality to shine through - he's never met a stranger he didn't want to befriend.<br/><br/>About other animals & kids:<br/> Dog friendly - loves having friends to play with<br/> Cat curious - mostly ignores them unless they run (then the chase instinct kicks in!)<br/> Kid friendly<br/><br/>His personality in one sentence?<br/> "I want to be your best friend... but also throw the ball (I might not bring it back yet )."<br/><br/>Kentucky would thrive in an active home that can match his energy, give him playtime, and of course... lots of love and snuggles.<br/><br/>He is truly one of those once-in-a-while dogs - the kind that makes everyone fall in love instantly.
