Chicago Rescue Authority's Adoption Policy
- Adoption Application (Before sending in an application please review the requirements for the interested dog. We do our best to update the requirements for each dog as an individual because they may have different needs.)
- Identification (ID/DL) and Digital Home Visit
- Vet Reference (Past or Current Pets up to date on vaccines, preventatives, spay/neutered required)
- Matching Call: This is utilized to learn more about the adopters lifestyle, wants, needs, and anything else to determine if they are a proper match for the interested puppy or dog. We are not a first come, first serve rescue and always want to set up both adopter and dog in our care up for success.
- Meet and greet for potential adopters and or resident pets.
- Finalizing adoption via contract and payment.
