Adopt me and you will instantaneously have a 100+ pound dog sleeping quietly in your lap the moment you sit on the couch. <br/> <br/>I’m Kelani and I am super friendly, confident and outgoing. My foster mom says not much bothers me. She took me to my human sister’s basketball practice and I was very happy with all the attention I got from people from 8 years old to 80 years old.<br/> <br/>I happily get in the car and within 1 minute of driving I curl up for a nap. <br/>I don’t even mind the vacuum cleaner! <br/> <br/>I am dog friendly and would do well with a playful friend my size. I’m medium energy. I love to play fetch with my stuffed toys or ball or play tag with my foster brother and sister for a bit but it doesn’t take long for me to be ready for a nap. I like to play independently with my toys too. I like squeaky toys and antlers and really everything my foster mom has given me. <br/> <br/>I met a few cats at the vet and seemed interested but not fixated and I may be ok with a dog savvy cat. <br/> <br/>I’m completely housebroken in a fenced yard. I am also crate trained. I go into my crate easily with a treat. I sleep all night in my crate without a peep. I do not destroy my bed either. I have taken naps with my mom in bed and lay down and go right to sleep until mom wakes up on her own so if you’re looking for a bed partner I’d be happy to oblige. <br/> <br/>I am a leaner and I seriously love attention and I am a total Velcro dog. I absolutely love it when you are home and I’ll go wherever you want. When you’re gone I’ll stay in my crate with my kong and elk antler. <br/> <br/>I have occasionally jumped on my foster mom and dad but only a couple times and I’m working on that and it hasn’t happened for many days now so I’m a quick learner!<br/> <br/>I haven’t shown any resource guarding but will try to take my foster brother’s ball and taunt him with it. He whined at me and I just laughed at him while I chewed his ball. If you’ve never seen a 150 pound dog whine then you might not understand why my foster mom laughs out loud when i am teasing my brother. All of us furry family eat separately just to be safe but I eat slowly and sometimes I don’t even finish my food so I don’t seem to worry about anyone taking it. <br/> <br/>I don’t mind the little dogs next door but I’m probably too rough for a really small friend. I’m probably not best for really little humans either just because I have no sense of personal space. Large dog savvy school age kids and up would probably be best. <br/> <br/>I share your food without you offering (my foster mom calls it counter surfing). Actually I haven’t done that here because my brother is a counter surfer so my foster family doesn't leave food out. But my previous home said I would counter surf. <br/> <br/>My mom had a friend come to take care of me when she couldn’t be here one day and this is what she texted her about me, “I am leaving your house now. She is just the sweetest puppy and I love her disposition. Anyone who comes to see her will want to adopt her. She is so gentle and sweet!”<br/> <br/>I am very good on a leash (much better than those other 2 I live with). I really don’t pull at all most of the time. I did pull some when I saw a squirrel but otherwise it was not at all terrible to walk!<br/> <br/>My mom says that I’m a typical puppy and will try to take your shoes and walk off with them if they are on the floor and I’m bored. But I trade her for one of my toys without any issue and I’m learning what I can and can’t have. <br/> <br/>My foster mom says I’m a perfect combination of sweetness and energy and cuddle bug and Velcro dog. She says I’m smart and pick up the routine very quickly and am so fast at learning what I need to know to be a great part of your family. My perfect home would have some way to help me with my puppy energy.
