Keisha's Story

Keisha came in as an owner surrender on 4-1-26.

She is a very sweet old lady who lovesss to play ball!

Keisha is 8 years old and was surrendered with her friend Mouse. (He is also available for adoption.) The pair did well together but do not seem to be bonded and we feel that it would be ok to adopt them separately or together.
Keisha is crate trained, housebroken and has previously lived with cats and dogs.
She came in with a severe skin infection where she had lost most of her fur but it is growing back quickly and she seems to be feeling much better. She may be on the older side but she loves to chase balls and is very much still full of life. She prefers calmer dogs to higher energy dogs.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
