Katy's Story
Meet Katy who is being fostered in the Ottawa area.

Katy, 3 years old and 35 lbs, is the definition of gentle and affectionate. She has a soft, calm presence and approaches everyone with a slow, sweet kindness. She absolutely loves to cuddle and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. She is the best girl in the world and are happy she is part of our rescue,

She’s well behaved, responds beautifully to commands, and walks nicely on leash. Katy is great with dogs, cats, and people. She travels wonderfully and is crate trained (though it’s not required in her new home). She would be fine with children 6+

Katy is a TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumour) survivor. She received full treatment and has been medically cleared. TVT is highly treatable and she is considered cured. It is not contagious to people or other pets and does not affect her ability to live a long, happy, normal life. Proin for mild incontinence (occasional dribbling).

She does have some prey drive, so a secure fenced yard is required. No apartments or condos please. Katy would thrive in a loving, understanding home with someone who is home for part of the day and who accepts her exactly as she is.

This beautiful girl has been through so much — now she just needs a soft place to land.
