She was an incredible mama and gave her babies everything she had. Now her puppies are ready for their forever homes, and it’s finally **Katniss’s turn to be somebody’s spoiled baby.**<br/><br/>And let us tell you... **this girl is SPECIAL.**<br/><br/>Katniss is currently in a foster home with **another dog and a small child**, and she is doing SO well. She is incredibly loving, affectionate, silly, cuddly, and just genuinely happy to be around her people.<br/><br/>She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. Watching TV? She’s there. Hanging out around the house? She’s there. Getting ready for bed? Yep, she’s coming too.<br/><br/>She just wants to **love and be loved.**<br/><br/>And she has the funniest little personality.<br/><br/>Leave food somewhere she can reach it? Well... you basically offered it to her. Katniss will absolutely take advantage of an unattended snack.<br/><br/>See a squirrel? **GAME ON.**<br/><br/>She LOVES chasing squirrels, so her forever home will need a **tall, secure fence**. She is not the girl you want casually wandering around an unfenced yard because if she spots a squirrel, she has a mission.<br/><br/>But underneath all of her goofy antics is the sweetest girl who just wants a family of her own.<br/><br/>**Katniss is:**<br/><br/>• 2 years old<br/>• Approximately 45 lbs<br/>• Spayed<br/>• Up to date on vaccinations<br/>• Great with dogs<br/>• Great with kids<br/>• Crate trained<br/>• Doing wonderfully with potty training<br/>• Walks well on leash<br/>• Not a constant barker<br/>• Not tested with cats<br/><br/>Katniss will let you know when she needs to go outside and does a great job holding it, although accidents can happen if she isn't taken out in time.<br/><br/>She can get VERY excited when she sees people because she desperately wants to say hello and get some attention. She may pull a little because, in her mind, **everyone is her new best friend.**<br/><br/>She may cry a little when her people leave because she loves being with them, but she is not an overly vocal or constantly barking dog. She is crate trained and settles nicely.<br/><br/>Honestly, we could go on and on about this girl.<br/><br/>**Katniss is the dog who will make you laugh. She’ll make you feel loved. She’ll follow you around the house. She’ll steal your food if you give her the opportunity. She’ll chase squirrels like it's her full-time job. And then she'll curl up next to you like the biggest cuddlebug in the world.**<br/><br/>She is funny. She is goofy. She is affectionate.
