KASSIE's Story

Meet Kassie! She was confiscated from being tied up in someone's yard with no food or water. She was emaciated. Owner was arrested on 7/29/25 on charges of child molestation. Since Kassie was so neglected, it took a while to realize she was pregnant! Kassie had her babies here with us and they have all been adopted. She is just about done with her heartworm treatment since she was positive when she arrived. <br/><br/>We did a DNA test on Kassie, and the top breeds were lab and golden retriever! We would have never guessed that based on her looks. However, her personality definitely embodies those two breeds well. She gets along great with the other mom dogs and she still LOVES playing with all the puppies. <br/><br/>All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and on flea/tick prevention. Puppies/dogs older than 3 months are on heartworm prevention.

Adopting a dog/puppy is a lifetime commitment. Are you ready for a new found friend? Prospective families will email Info@BigHearts4PawsRescue.org and be interviewed online prior to adoption. Approved families will then move on to setup an appointment to meet/greet and adopt.
