Kash's Story
Kash is a 4-year-old male German Shepherd mix who found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own, surrendered alongside his two brothers (not by blood), Simba and Gus. Having lived in a home before, Kash was deeply attached to his previous owner, and the sudden change has been hard on him. His first week at the shelter was understandably confusing and emotional, but with patience, consistency, and lots of love from our dedicated staff, Kash is already making progress and growing more comfortable every single day.

Kash can be wary of new people at first, but once he knows he’s safe, his true personality shines. He is an absolute lover who adores pets—so much so that he’ll gently paw at you if you stop before he’s ready. He’s also a world-class snuggler and will happily lean his whole body into you before softly collapsing into your lap.

He does well with other dogs who respect his boundaries and will need slow, thoughtful introductions. Kash can quietly coexist with other pups and prefers enjoying his chew bones on his own. He has not shown interest in cats and does well with older children who understand and respect his space.

Kash is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, making his transition into a home that much smoother. All he truly needs is patience, understanding, and a safe place to land. We believe that once Kash leaves the shelter and settles into a loving home, he’ll continue to blossom into the happy, affectionate companion we know he can be.

If you’re looking to give a deserving, gentle soul a second chance and have the heart to let him move at his own pace, Kash may just be your perfect match.

If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out our application, and someone will be in touch with you shortly!
https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/
