Meet Kanye!<br/>(A silly name, because we didn’t think we’d have him this long!)<br/><br/>Kanye is an extremely intelligent Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. He knows a handful of tricks—including jumping through a hula hoop! He picks up on direction very quickly.<br/><br/>Aside from his intelligence, he’s a total lovebug and is patiently waiting for his person—the one he can dedicate all of his loyalty to.<br/><br/>He enjoys running through fields, car rides, and getting attention from people during his outings (because of his beauty, of course!). Kanye loves to play with other dogs his size and is even extra gentle with smaller dogs.<br/><br/>Kanye would be the ideal pet for someone without cats. While he tolerates them, it’s clear he feels uncomfortable around them.<br/><br/>We rescued him here in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco (Mexico). Unfortunately, the climate has been tough on him. He’s truly himself and happy only about six months out of the year due to the heat—and our lack of air conditioning. The rest of the year, he’s miserable.<br/><br/>We do our best to keep him comfortable—he has his own fan, gets brushed daily, and plays in the water—but it’s just not enough.<br/>Kanye has been waiting for his forever home for three years now. Once adopted, the dog is flown to their new home (nearest airport) with the help of a volunteer flight angel.<br/><br/>Please note that the adoption fee covers the dog's travel expenses, including flight costs, health certificates, flea and tick treatment, and kennel fees.<br/><br/>Our Home Rescue<br/><br/>We are an independent rescue operating out of our home in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. We do what we can to help control the overpopulation of dogs and cats in our community. In addition to rescuing animals, when we're at full capacity, we also carry out trap-neuter/spay-release efforts.
