KANGA's Story
Meet Kanga — a stunning 2.5-year-old girl ready for her forever home! This beautiful pup came to the shelter as a stray alongside her two canine friends, Martin (just adopted) and Marina (who is also still searching for her happily-ever-after!). The trio had been spotted roaming a neighborhood together for several weeks before finally finding safety with us. When Kanga arrived, she was a little underweight — but it didn’t take long to see just how strong, athletic, and muscular she really is. Don’t let her powerful build fool you... she’s a total softie who’s eager to bond. Training & Manners Kanga is still working on her leash manners — she’s a strong girl and can be a puller, so she’ll thrive with an adopter committed to continued training and solid structure. She wants to learn and loves attention! Shelter Stress Sadly, Kanga is having a tough time in the shelter environment. The noise, fast pace, and stress are overwhelming for her. We’re helping her with enrichment, extra outings, and medication to ease the anxiety... but what Kanga truly needs is a loving home where she can finally breathe, settle, and feel safe. Dog Social Kanga has met other dogs here and tends to be vocal and enthusiastic during introductions. She does best with submissive dogs who don’t mind her big personality — just like her roaming buddies Martin and Marina. With slow, patient, thoughtful intros, she can be a wonderful match for the right canine companions. If you're looking for an athletic, loyal, big-hearted companion with tons of personality, Kanga might be your perfect fit! Come meet this gorgeous girl and see if she’s the family member you’ve been missing.
