Kalifa, or Kal or Kali, as we like to call him, will be a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than toys, zooming around the yard and time with his family.<br/><br/>An ideal home for Kalifa would be one that can match his high energy and playful spirit while also giving him time to relax and feel secure. Kalifa is a very curious boy. He is a fun and happy dog who LOVES his toys, enjoys chasing a ball or playing fetch, and will absolutely make you laugh with his goofy personality. After playtime, he’s just as happy to cuddle on the couch or stretch out in a sunny spot for a nap.<br/><br/>Kalifa would do best in a home that can provide daily exercise and play, and enjoys keeping him engaged and included in everyday activities. His ideal family will be willing to continue working with him on his leash manners, as he gets very excited when he sees other dogs on walks. He will thrive with people who understand positive, reward-based training and consistency — especially because he absolutely loves his treats!<br/><br/>Kalifa is already house-smart: he knows how to use a doggy door, and he will whine/alert when he needs to go out, which makes potty routines easy.<br/><br/>He currently gets along beautifully with the resident dog in his foster home. However, it will take the right family willing to follow proper introduction steps and move at his pace when meeting a new dog.
