She was prescribed Clonidine 0.3mg 1-2 tablets 1-2 hours prior to a stressful event. This may be repeated every 8-12 hours as needed. The cost for 60 tablets is around $16.00. She also take fluoxetine 10mg once a day, the cost is around $20 per month. To continue this medication it is recommended that care be established with a primary vet. She has been working hard on her obedience and is becoming a wonderful companion.<br/>She is getting more comfortable meeting new people who come around. Kaiyah loves going for walks and knows several commands, including sit, down, shake, and stay. She also enjoys puzzle toys and stuffed Kongs that keep her mind busy.<br/>Kaiyah would love a dog friend who can match her playful energy and play style, but she also does just fine as an only dog. She loves playing tug-of-war, keep-away, and other interactive games. Once she's comfortable, her playful personality really shines.<br/>She sleeps through the night and is kenneled during the day when we're at work or away from home. She does very well in the kennel.<br/>Kaiyah is a smart, active girl who continues to gain confidence every day. She's looking for a patient family who will keep up her training, provide plenty of exercise, and give her the love she deserves.<br/><br/>6/4/2026 Foster Feedback: Kaiyah is a sweet, playful girl who is looking for a patient family to help her continue building confidence. She can be cautious with new people, places, and experiences, so slow introductions are important. Once she feels safe, her goofy, affectionate personality shines through.<br/><br/>Kaiyah tends to bond more quickly with women and does best with positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine. She is fully crate trained, reliably potty trained, and knows sit, stay, and down.<br/>Kaiyah loves other dogs and would do best with a playful canine companion who can match her energy level. A confident, well-mannered dog could also help her continue gaining confidence.<br/>Because Kaiyah can be sensitive to loud or overwhelming environments, she would thrive in a calm home with older, respectful children who understand how to give her space when needed.<br/>With patience, regular exercise, enrichment, and continued socialization, Kaiyah has all the potential to become a loyal, loving companion.<br/><br/>1/21/2026 Foster Feedback: Kaiyah has continued to grow in confidence and personality. She’s learning that the world isn’t so scary—especially when it comes with snacks and praise. Slow introductions remain key, but once she’s comfortable, she’s all wiggles, goofy faces, and affection.<br/>Kaiyah has met a few senior dogs, and while they were polite... they did not approve of her enthusiastic play style. Because of this, she would do best with a dog who can match her activity level and enjoys a good play session as much as she does.<br/>Potty training is going great—she hasn’t had an accident in well over a month and still proudly uses the bells like a champ. Crate time is handled well, and she greets her people after work as if they’ve been gone for approximately seven years (minimum).<br/>Kaiyah would thrive in a patient, understanding home—ideally with older, respectful kids—where she can continue building confidence and being the joyful, playful pup she’s meant to be.<br/><br/>12/26/2025 Foster Feedback: Kaiyah is a playful puppy with a happy little soul who is looking for her forever home. She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to play and socialize with.<br/>Kaiyah can be cautious with new experiences at first, so slow and gentle introductions help her feel secure. She is making steady progress each day and gains confidence quickly with patience and positive reinforcement—especially when treats are involved. Once she feels comfortable, her goofy and affectionate personality really shines.<br/>She is doing very well with potty training and uses bells to signal when she needs to go outside. Kaiyah knows sit and stay and does well in her crate while her foster family is at work, though she is understandably very excited when her people return home.<br/>Kaiyah has not yet been introduced to cats, so her compatibility is currently unknown.
