Kaito - Reduced adoption fee (cost of a license)

We are now offering a reduced adoption fee to the cost of a license if you are a Mississauga Resident or a donation to our scarf fund for non residents.<br/><br/>Meet Kaito!<br/><br/>Kaito has been at MAS for 450+ days. <br/><br/>Kaito is a super sweet 8 year old (approx.) husky mix that came to MAS as a stray. Kaito is very affectionate with his people, and he LOVES being outside, especially in the winter! Tennis balls are also his favourite toy to have around. He requires a confident handler with large dog experience, and someone who is willing to take on a project dog.<br/><br/>We have had Kaito in a foster home to give him a break from shelter life, and his foster parents had nothing but good things to say about this handsome boy. He does well with lots of structure and routine in the home. Kaito has had a few introductions with other dogs, and seems ok with other female senior dogs, but he would prefer to be the only fur baby in the home. Kaito would do best in an adult only home, and with someone experienced with his breed. He walks well on leash, and his foster parents have noted that sometimes he can get a little overstimulated if things get very busy around him. <br/><br/>We have worked with a trainer to help with Kaito's leash skills and basic obedience training. He comes with a 4 session training package with our trainer in order to help with the transition into a new home environment, and set Kaito up for success with his new furever family. <br/><br/>If you are interested in Kaito please contact Mississauga Animal Services to book an appointment to meet him!
