Kairo

Sit down on the path with Kairo and he sits right in front of you, tips his head to one side, and looks straight up at you like he is waiting to hear what you will say next.
Kairo is an eight month old boxer mix with a tan coat, a black mask, a white stripe running up his face, a white chest, and a pair of big ears that each have their own idea about which way to point.
He is a sweet boy, and when he sits for you he holds your eye and stays there. He gets along well with confident dogs, so a home with a friendly, self assured dog already in it would suit him nicely. He is leash and crate trained, and with a consistent schedule he should be good on house training.
A few honest things before you apply. Kairo is still a puppy and could use more time out in the world meeting new people, dogs, and places, so we are looking for a home that will keep that going. He has not been around children or cats that we know of, so we cannot tell you how he would do living with either. We are glad to set up an introduction with any dog already in your home.
We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
