LOCATION: Foster Care<br/><br/>Kai-La is a loving, affectionate, and wonderfully cuddly companion who has settled beautifully into her temporary home. She is fully crate-trained and happily uses her crate as a safe daytime haven and sleeping soundly through the night. She is also completely house-trained, even communicating when she needs to go outside. Kai-La absolutely thrives on human companionship. She is an expert face-washer with an exceptionally long tongue, a professional lap-sitter who will gently interrupt your phone time for a cuddle, and a dedicated bedtime snuggler who loves to sleep curled up right under the covers. <br/><br/>When she is not snoring softly on the sofa, Kai-La is a joy to take on outdoor adventures. She walks beautifully on a loose leash, responds well to guidance, and remains completely calm and manageable near busy parks. Outdoors in a fenced yard, she loves tracking scents, sunbathing, and giving a brief, playful chase to squirrels and rabbits. Kai-La is a remarkably quiet dog who only barks if she needs to go out or if she accidentally tangles her leash around a bush. If you have a peaceful home and a lot of love to give, this sweet shadow dog will reward you by being the ultimate loyal companion.<br/><br/>The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. <br/><br/>Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. <br/><br/>** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. ** <br/><br/>HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location. <br/><br/>From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday and all holidays. <br/><br/>From Foster Care (out of shelter): <br/><br/> Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email.
