My life hasn't always gone the way I hoped. I was adopted during the pandemic when everyone was home. But as life changed, I began spending long days in a crate on a sun porch while my family was away. Eventually, they decided they couldn't keep me. I was lucky to find another home with a wonderful woman who loved me dearly, but she couldn't give me everything I needed. So here I am, waiting once more for someone who will love and care for me for the rest of my life.<br/><br/>But do you know what? None of that has dimmed my love for people. I adore being with my humans. If you're on the couch, Ill be right beside you. If you're heading to bed, I'm ready to snuggle in. Even at 19 pounds, I am absolutely convinced I'm a lap dog and no one has managed to change my mind. I love playing with my toys, and sometimes I make funny little growly noises while I'm having fun. My foster family says its my version of purring because I smile the whole time.<br/><br/>I have lovely manners in the home I am housetrained, crate trained, and I know sit and come. Belly rubs are one of my greatest joys. If you stop petting me, there's a good chance you'll find me rolled onto my back, politely requesting more.<br/><br/>My foster mom also has a tiny girl pup whos about a quarter of my size. She's not dazzled with me yet, but I adore her anyway. I may bark at other dogs at first, but once I know they want to be friends, I'm perfectly fine. I don't need a canine brother or sister, but they might be fun to play with and they'd definitely help me use up some of my Bichon energy. A fenced in yard would be wonderful, but I'd also do great with a family who enjoys nice long walks. I love my two mile stroll on the golf course every day.<br/><br/>Just one little quirk to mention: when I'm settled and content, I like to stay right where I am. It helps me feel safe after so many changes. My foster family gives me gentle redirection, and it works beautifully.<br/><br/>I'm looking for someone who will help me put my past in the rearview mirror and give me the security and unconditional love I deserve. I don't need perfection. I don't need fancy things. I just need someone who will pamper me, be patient with me, and promise to love me forever.
