Kahlua & KJ's Story

Hi there! We're Kahlua and KJ! Here is our story.

Let's start at the beginning. We found ourselves roaming the mean streets of Cleveland after a terrible hoo-man abandoned us. Some other people found us and took us to a shelter, but it was crowded and loud and very scary for a couple of older gals like us. We were days from being euthanized when these nice people at MVPC took us in. It's so much better being in a foster home than that scary shelter, and we really love being here, but a furever home would even better.

We are both super sweet, loving, housebroken, and well-behaved. We are also best friends. We aren't sisters, but we are bonded in a way that makes us inseparable, so if you want to adopt one of us, you get the other one, too. We may not be young, but we love a good walk, playing with our foster dad, and a good belly-rub and some serious cuddles in the evening. We are really good in the crate, don't mind a bath, and love to go places and meet new people and new dogs. And let's be honest, puppies will poop in the house. We won't. We're classy that way.

**Kahlua and KJ will be adopted out as a pair. Their furever home will be for both ladies**.

ADOPTION FEE: $250 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)

ADOPTER: Dog experience
BIRTHDAY: Kahlua - est. 11 years old
BIRTHDAY: KJ - est. 9 years old
FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)
DOG FRIENDLY: Yes
CATS: Unknown
CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over

WE ARE READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be our new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $250 when MVPC comes to visit your house with us!

***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.***

INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25.

DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

A non-refundable $100 hold fee is required to secure your chosen dog and is applied to the full adoption fee (ranges from $200-$400) at the time of the home visit. If the home visit goes well, the adoption is completed at that time and our MVP is your new best friend! 1) We do not adopt to individuals under 25 2) We will check your landlord if you rent for breed and weight restrictions 3) A fence is required for most of our dogs, but exceptions for leash walking may be considered for some.
