Kady's Story
Meet Kady, a soft-hearted, tan-and-white bird dog mix who carries herself with a quiet grace and a deep love for the people she trusts. She is a thoughtful girl who blossoms with gentle guidance and clear expectations.

Kady's journey hasn't been easy--she was found abandoned and tied to a fence at Memphis Animal Services. Thankfully, her story took a hopeful turn when one of our dedicated southern rescuers stepped forward to welcome her into a loving foster home. She has been found to be the kind of dog who stays close, watching, listening, and choosing connection over chaos.

Kady is crate trained, and has excellent house manners, including house and crate training. This girl also
walks so politely on a leash. She rarely barks and settles easily into the rhythm of a home. She can have a bit of initial anxiety when entering the car, but then chills and lays down. This gal quickly learns her boundaries, thriving with gentle structure and clear expectations.

Kady absolutely adores people and is currently living harmoniously with a 10-year-old child, where she's shown patience, affection, and a calm, respectful nature. She forms strong bonds with her humans and takes great comfort in being part of the family's daily life.

When it comes to other dogs, Kady prefers peaceful, respectful companionship. She does best with calm, well-matched dogs or younger pups who can grow up alongside her. Pushy or aggressive adult dogs are not her style, and she would also be perfectly happy as the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for herself.

Moderately active, Kady enjoys walks and hikes and would benefit from regular outings to keep her body and mind engaged. She also has a great time playing with water from a hose as you can see here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/ROQk9xPMs6Y?feature=share
A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for outdoor playtime, especially for adopters who may not do long daily walks.

Kady is ready for adoption and hoping for a home where she can feel safe, understood, and truly cherished. In the right environment, she'll reward her family with loyalty, affection, and the quiet joy of a dog who knows she's finally home.

Name: Kady
Breed: Spaniel Mix
Sex: Female
Age: 1 year 11 months (as of 1/17/26)
Weight: 45.0
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Vaccinations: Up to date
Heartworm: Negative on recent testing
Microchipped: Yes

BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:
Good with Children: Over 7, has not been exposed to young toddlers or babies.
Good with Dogs: yes
Good with Cats: Unknown

Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)

Location of dog currently: Tennessee

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
