Justice's Story

Meet Justice! Justice is a sweet, gentle 2-year-old boy who truly shines when he's around people. He loves being included in whatever's going on and is happiest when he can be part of the action, whether that's relaxing with his humans or heading outside to explore. His calm, affectionate nature makes him an easy dog to fall in love with.

Justice has a playful side, too! When he's outside, he gets fun bursts of energy and enjoys moving around and exploring his surroundings. Walks are one of his favorite activities, especially when he can take his time stopping to sniff all the interesting smells along the way. He can pull a bit on leash right now, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, he's sure to continue improving.

This treat-loving guy already knows sit, especially when snacks are involved, and he enjoys learning when rewards are part of the deal. He has done well with the dogs he's met so far. With his gentle nature and love for being involved, Justice would make a wonderful companion for someone ready to enjoy life's everyday moments with him.

Justice at a Glance

Age: 2 years old
Personality: Sweet, gentle, people-loving
Training: Knows sit (especially for treats); working on leash manners
Favorite Activities: Going for walks, playing outside, and enjoying tasty treats

SPCA of Southwest Michigan's Adoption Policy
We have same day adoptions! You are welcome to visit our shelter anytime during our open hours. When you visit, you can either look through the kennel first or go into a meet and greet room with an available animal of interest. In the meet and greet room, we will let you spend time with the animal and read off their file. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them along with you to do a dog-to-dog meet and greet. The main question we ask is if you own or rent your home. If you rent we check your pet policy. Bring your pet policy with you; as that is the quickest way for us to check. Once that clears, all you would need to do is fill out an adoption contract and pay their adoption fee. They would go home with you after that! If you are adopting a cat, you are welcome to bring your own carrier with you. We do have carriers to borrow or cardboard boxes to send home with you if you do not have one. If you are adopting a dog, you are welcome to bring your own leash and collar. We do have leashes and collars to send home with you as well. Holds We offer holds over the phone and in-person. The hold fee is $50 and is non-refundable. Holds over the phone are for 24 hours and holds in-person are for 48 hours.
