Jupiter's Story

Jupiter was found abandoned in a rural area with her 2 brothers. We believe these pups were on their own for quite some time before they were spotted by some farmers. The family who found them took their time to feed them and try to win their trust. Unfortunately these pups were so leery that they almost froze to death before getting caught. Jupiter was barely able to walk when they were finally able to grab her. She warmed up and she's doing much better now! She will run over and lick my fingers and let me pet her, but sometimes she's still super fearful and wants to cower away. These pups have food aggression towards other dogs and will growl at new dogs until they feel safe with them. They were on their own in the country and somehow survived. I'm sure they came across coyotes and dogs that were protecting their properties. Give her some time, love, rules, and she will become an amazing companion. She's only 8 months old and she is totally wanting to bond to a human. She just needs the right home. Jupiter will be getting spayed/vetted next week and be able to go to a home after that. Her adoption fee is $200. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org
