She’s sweet, playful, and devoted to her people. She can be a little bossy with other dogs, so she’d do best with a well-mannered canine friend who appreciates a confident little lady.<br/><br/>Juniper is a black and white, female, Shih Tzu mix. She is about 1½ years old and currently around 9 pounds (she could still stand to gain a little weight). She is house-trained and ready to settle into a loving home.<br/><br/>Juniper came into rescue from a shelter after being found as a severely matted and neglected stray. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into an affectionate, lively little girl who absolutely soaks up attention. She loves playing with toys, romping in the yard, and playing fetch just as much as she enjoys cuddling up for snuggles and belly rubs. <br/><br/>She’s a true “velcro” dog who will happily follow you from room to room and stay close by your side. Juniper gets along with other friendly dogs, though she does have a bit of a confident, sometimes bossy personality. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.<br/><br/>PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.<br/><br/>The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.<br/><br/>We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
